Spring 2025 Winterville Classes
We are excited to offer after-school classes In Winterville on Mondays and Thursdays for students aged 3-17 this Spring from January 13th through May 16th!
Classes are located at the Winterville Cultural Center and Marigold Auditorium. A reception area with free coffee and wifi is available to parents!

The last day to register for Produce a Show classes is February 1st and the last day to register for all other classes is March 1st!
Monday Classes

ABC’s of Theater
3:45-4:30pm | 3-5 Year Olds
$85/month + $30 performance fee
This class is for the littlest characters who show a lot of interest in performing and playing pretend! Come along with us on a journey through the alphabet to learn all about the theater while integrating games, activities, and songs!

Intro to Theater
4:30-5:15pm | 6-10 Year Olds
$85/month + $30 performance fee
This course will broaden your Little Characters’ view of all things theater! We will cover vocality, movement, character exploration onstage while working individually and in groups to build confidence, teamwork and individualism!

Shakespeare 101
5:30 - 6:30pm | 9+ Years Old
$100/month + $30 Performance Fee
This is a fantastic opportunity for mature actors dive into The Bard’s plays and monologues. Students will delve into theatre history, learn techniques for interpreting Shakespearean language, and develop acting skills through hands-on scene work from classic plays like “The Tempest” and “A Midsummer Night's Dream.”

Produce a Show! - 2nd-5th Grade
5:30 - 6:45pm | 7-10 Year Olds
$120/month + $50 performance fee
This class is for creative minds and mini producers! We will work with the students to create their own story, turn it into a script, and spend the semester rehearsing to bring it to life at the end of the semester.

Technical Theater
6:00 - 7:00pm | Grades: 4th-10th
$100/month
Technical theater involves the behind-the-scenes work necessary to create a theatrical production. In this class, students will study set design, lighting, sound, costuming, props, stage management, special effects, and makeup. Activities will include drawing sets for a favorite story, lighting experiments which show how light can change a scene, sound exploration to see how different sounds can tell a story, costume designs for various historical periods as well as genres, prop creation, makeup tutorials, and practical effects demonstrations.

Film 101
5:30-6:30pm | 8+ Years Old
$100/month + $30 Materials Fee
Explore acting behind the camera, create short film storylines, and learn how a film comes to life! Students will explore storytelling, scriptwriting, directing, acting, camera work, special effects, and basic editing. Activities will range from storyboarding to mini-film production.
